Michael arrived in Bossier City in 2008 by way of the Air Force with an assignment to Barksdale Air Force Base. Within weeks of his arrival, Michael found his way to New Life Worship Center were he received the HOLY GHOST and was Baptized in JESUS name.  GOD blessed Michael shortly after his arrival with a wonderful GOD fearing woman; Valerie West, a native of Minden, Louisiana.  Valerie had already been a member at New Life Worship Center since 2001.  Michael and Valerie were married in 2010 and in 2012 they were blessed to take over the NLWC Marriage ministry. Together, they believe GOD created humanity to have a relationship with. Couples can best demonstrate this relationship with GOD by applying what HE teaches in HIS word to the their marital relationship.

Michael graduated from Liberty University with a master’s degree in Professional Counseling.  This, coupled with a Christian worldview and personal experiences affords him the opportunity to provide well-rounded, evidence-based assistance to those seeking pre-marital and marital counseling. Michael is a certified Prepare / Enrich facilitator and provides both Christian based and non-Christian based services.  Valerie has experience working as a non-licensed clinician and is currently working towards her Bachelors degree in Business Entrepreneurship from Ashford Univesity.

In addition, Michael and Valerie teach weekly Bible studies and Michael is also the administrator for the NLWC website.
